My name is Lance Miller and I am conducting research on members of my family. Specifically I am searching for any information on Selina Leona Abrams born about 1885 and died in 1950. I found your email shown below and am writing you to inquire about any information you might provide me about Leona Abrams of Reform, Pickens county, Alabama.

I am a resident of Pickens Co. and have done some research involving the Abrams family here. In my records, I show a Clyde Abrams as the son of George Washington Abrams who married a Mary Jane Vail. G.W.'s dates are b. 22 Dec 1851 and d. 3 June 1927, buried at Arbor Springs Church near Reform in Pickens Co., AL. Perhaps if you send me some more names, I can help you. All that I know about my great grandmother Selina Leona Abrams is that she was married to my great grandfather Joshua Jaynes and they had two children named William Hill Jaynes and Ella Lee Jaynes (my grandmother who married Leo McDaniel and had my mother Nellie Odenia McDaniel). The following is information I found through my Ancestry.com membership census records.
Using the 1900 Federal Census for Beards, Pickens, Alabama:
I found that Selina Leona Abrams is the daughter of James (Jim) W. Abrams and Mollie Lillie Abrams (Do not have maiden name). Her siblings include Joe Abrams, Luticia Abrams, Oscar (Osser) M. Abrams and Virginia Abrams. James and Mollie both born in Alabama married in 1876. Their residence was Precincts 7-8, Beard, Reform, Pickens, Alabama.
Using the 1910 Federal Census for Beards, Pickens, Alabama:
I found James W. Abrams and Lillie Abrams with only Oscar M. Abrams and Virginia Abrams living at home. In this census James W. Abrams has his birth place listed as North Carolina instead of Alabama listed in the 1900 census.
Using the 1910 Federal Census for Beards, Pickens, Alabama:
Leona Abrams is listed a Lona Janes and is married to Jashua C. Janes (Joshua C. Jaynes)
Using the Alabama Deaths, 1908-1959:
I found Selina Leona Abrams listed as Silinia L. Jaynes death date 4 June 1950.
