A Jamaican Abrahams
Posted by: Melissa Date: January 27, 2002 at 19:38:56

I know that one of the first Abrahams to arrive in Jamaica was Thomas McWhinney Abrahams. He opened a business and the Abrahams own a lot of land in Jamaica. One of the Abrahams also helped in running Grace Co. My grandfather, Noel MckWhinney Abrahams is part Jewish and Irish. I wanted to know if anyone knows the Abrahams history as to why they came to the West Indies and where they came from? Was it from Ireland or England? I would love any facts about my heritage.
Thanks.
