Seeking information on Abraham Emanuel Israelsson and his family. Israelsson died in Red Oak, Montgomery County, Iowa, in 1930 and is buried in the Essex Cemetery, Essex, Iowa, next to his wife Johanna Andersdotter (9 Sept. 1845 - 1928). They were the parents of Karl Johan Edward Abrahamsson,1875; Frans Otto Abrahamsson, 1881; Augusta Emelia Abrahamsson, 1884; and Oskar Herman Abrahamsson, 1887. They emigrated from Öggestorp parish, Jönköpings Co., Sweden in 1891, leaving from Göteborg on December 12, 1891, destination New York. They settled first in Fremont Township, Page County, Iowa. Emanuel (also known as Immanuel) chaned his name to Abraham in the United States. Some of his children are known as Abrahamsson and others as Abraham.
