I think you are refering to Lucinda Martin who married James A Abney on Jan. 20, 1890 at the house of William David Martin in Guntersville, Alabama. William David was her father. The children of Lucinda (Martin) Abney and James Abney were Clevie, Hattie, Bill, Talmage,Maggie, Anna, and Ernestine. Lucinda (Martin)Abney was born in 1867 in Alabama and James Abney was born in 1858 in Georgia. In 1892 William David Martin and his wife Harriet(Bailey) Martin and most of his family loaded up all of their posssesions on a railroad car and made the trip from Guntersville, Alabama to Jacksboro, Texas (Jack County). Making the trip with William David Martin and his wife Harriet(Bailey)Martin were his daughter Lucinda(Martin) Abney and her husband James Abney and two of their children Clevie and Hattie. Also making the trip was his son Hiram Bailey Martin and his wife Martha (Cooper) Martin and their daughter Eula. Also making the trip were the unmarried children of William and Harriet: Mary Martin, Robert Timmons Martin and William Theodore Martin. Lucinda and James stayed in Jacksboro less than a year. They moved to a ranch near Higgins, Texas (Libscomb County). In 1914 the family moved to Texline,Texas (Dallam County)and stayed the rest of their lives.
