I am inquiring about my gg grandfather James M. Abney. He lived and was born 26 May 1824 in Estill Co. He and his sisters Lavina and Sarah, both younger, came to Chariton Co. MO about 1845-6 and he married Rebecca Richardson there. He had 4 children by her and she died. He married Lucinda Kelly and had three more children. I have not been able to determine which of the Abneys of Estill are his parents or family. I think he is related to all of them. Do you have any record of a child born to any of Estill's Abneys with this name? Thanks a million. I am so glad to have found this website.
