Abney/Norman Connection -1785 & Royalty

I am not an Abney but was searching your list for Norman information as Eli Norman was father to both Henry, my 5th Great-grandfather and Rhoda NORMAN - who married Paul ABNEY about 1785.

I wonder if you all know that the Abney family is related to the Plantagenets-Kings & Queens of England? This information is from the book Plantagenet Ancestry of Seventeenth-Century Colonists (subtitled "The Descent from the Later Plantagent Kings of England, Henry III, Edward I, and Edward III, of Emigrants from England and Wales to the North American Colonies before 1701") By David Faris, and published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Boston, MA 1999.

Anyway, in America it includes Dannett Abney and Mary Lee and their children (a) Dannett Abney of Hanover County, VA, married Mary____. (Issue){n.b. Issue not named for any of the children of Dannett and Mary Lee Abney.} (b) Abraham Abney, resided South Corolina; married. Issue. (c) Paul Abney of Goochland County, VA. (d) Abner Abney, of Albermarle County, VA, married Ann____. Three children.

The line goes back to Edward I of England, King of England who married Alianore De Castille. All the women are included and their parents are mentioned, if known. I purchased this book from NEHGS earlier this month, so it is still available.
