George was bapt. 11 Jun 1613 & bur. at St. Mary's Church on 03 May 1661. George was a son of Paul ABNEY & Mary BROOKSBY. Paul d. 10 Jun 1635. Paul was a son of Edmund ABNEY, Lord Mayor of Leicester, & Katherine LUDLAM. Edmund was born in Derbyshire and buried 01 Apr 1604 at St. Mary's Church, Leicestershire. Edmund was a son of George ABNEY, Lord of Willesley in Derbyshire, & Ellen WOLSELEY. George was born in Derbyshire and died there 01 Mar 1578. He is buried at Willesley Chapel. He was a son of John ABNEY & Margaret. John died 01 Dec 1505 & is buried at Willesley Chapel.
