Seeking data on Mary Ellen ABNEY (1837-1863), first wife of my gg-gf Henry M. NEWSOM. They m. 16 DEC 1855 in Muscogee Co, GA, where she presumably died in childbirth (he married my gg-gm there in 1864). They had five children named in Bible records--all but one died small, no further record on the fifth child. I would like to find Mary Ellen's parents/family. I also have the following marriages: Elvira ABNEY to Robert STATUM (1858 Muscogee Co.), Mary Elizabeth ABNEY (1856 Muscogee Co.), Hattie ABNEY (1827 Upson Co.).
