I am descended from Nancy Brown, b. 1796 in Amherst County, VA She married David Alexander Rorrer, Jr.. I know that her father was John Brown, and I have found a marriage between John Brown and Mary Abney in Amherst in 1789. I have not found any proof that the two John Browns are the same. Can anyone clarify this for me one way or the other?
