Through Y-DNA I believe that I am related to the Abneys. George D. Dean was married to Sabina Abney. They were in Edgefield, SC before migrating to Al and Ouachita Co Ar. The son, John M Dean b abt 1832 is hopefully my John Marion Dean b 1831 in Ga. Wondering was there a Marion family connection? Or just namesakes for Francis Marion? This family came to Claibone Parish La in 1858 or so. Hope we can find a connection.
