Robert.....
I have a copy of the will both hand written and then typed. At the bottom of the witnessing there is a portion that says, " This will is proved....." and signed by Robert Munsford, clerk...under Test. then it continues to say " "Truly recorded...Test. Rutherford.
The written part is rather hard to read and the typed one is the one that has Rutherford.... If you get a magnifying glass to the written I think it says RMunford.....but whoever typed the will put Rutherford....
That does not mean anything other than a Rutherford is on the document at the very bottom of the typed version...... but I think there are those that think the Rutherford and Abney families join somewhere with the intermarriages of the Dean family..... so some are using that to make a statement....but bottom line....the document to use would be the written one and leave the statement Rutherford off in proving tying these families with this document.
