Thanks for writing back. There is a book out now about the Abney family that is correct and documented and I think you might want to know about it. It was written by Abney Brewer. If interested you may contact her for a copy and information: abneybrewer@comcast.net She has done excellent work with the book and has cleared up some misgivings that have been through the years....and has cleared up many of the DAR old applications that have been in error. bjmayer
