Like your sister I also live in the Pacific Northwest. Washington state.

I have been researching the family roots since my Dad passed away in 2003. I've never been so involved as to try to put the entire family tree together, that’s just two much work and I have a four-year old son who does not give me that kind of time. But I do want to learn more about by Grandfathers, and their children. One thing I discovered is our Scottish roots. I always thought we were Irish on my Dad's side. Never even knew what a Ulster-Scot was until I started my research. I’m proud to be Scots-Irish especially after reading the book, Born Fighting: How the Scots-Irish shaped America.

On my Mom’s side – Swedish and German. Yuk! I love my Mom dearly, but…..
