I'm just starting to dig into my tie to the Abney family and your post is most helpful. It is amazing the research done on the Abney family. I would not doubt someone has traced them all the way back to Torg and Uma Abney, third cave on the right.
My Great Great Grandfather William Marion Glenn married Elizabeth Jane Abney the Daughter of Joshua Abney from Saline County, Ill. The funny thing is I know more about the Abney family history than I do about my family name "Glenn" which has Scots-Irish roots. where I am missing data is how this new Glenn branch of the Abney tree ended up in Arkansas where my Grandfather was born.
