I'm researching Rebecca Abney, wife of Edward Dean, my wife's ancestor. I have heard the argument that Rebecca's parents were not George and Unity (Meredith)Dean, but rather Dr. Abraham and Cassandra (Meredith) Dean. Can you help me with this, though: everywhere I look I find Cassandra's birthdate as 1718. Rebecca's birthdate is 1720. Cassandra would have been two years old when her "daughter" Rebecca was born. Is that 1718 birthdate wrong? Abraham's 1702 birthdate works, but Cassandra's 1718 birthdate doesn't work. Was there a first wife to Abraham who was actually Rebecca's mother? Is the 1718 birthdate an error? Help!!
