Hello my genie cousins!
Hurricane Katrina has been unkind to my family. The good news is my family and I are all safe. Of course, we've lost everything (including all my genealogy documents and work). My home was submerged to the roof and is still under water. I just wanted to let everyone know we're alive and well. I am living in Houston, Texas, at least temporarily. I do not know if I will ever return to New Orleans. I am living day-to-day. I enrolled the 4 youngest children in school today. I suspect we'll be here at least through the school year. My former employer is anticipating a 9-month delay in re-opening. I am searching for a job here in Houston.
