Bryan,
You said you were interested in things on the Abney's? But you didn't like what the other person had to say?
My great grandfather was married to an Abney and her son from her first marriage shot and killed my great grandfather. I started to research this family and in my opinion this lady was wicked on her deals. She was married to a Ingram first, older than her and had land. Then to another man (much older) and he had land. Then she married my great grandfather (much older) that had land. All three of these men were widowers with land. I have tons of records on this lady and her deals. Her father was a state senator and had a lot of pull and her uncle had a lot of pull in the county her son was tried in and found not guilty of murder. I could go on with all the things I have from couthouses in MO.
I've just made a thing of tracing this family.
Gerald
