Samuel ABNER of Jackson Co. KY, Campbell and Anderson Co. TN
In 1850, William Abner was in Estill Co. KY; in 1860, he was in Jackson Co. KY (probably taken in when Jackson County was created); in 1880 William and his family were in Coal Creek (Lake City), Anderson Co. TN.
Samuel Abner is a son of William Abner/Sarah Ann Rose; he was born 9 June 1871 in Jackson Co.(?) KY. Siblings are Della (b/abt 1848), Elijah (b/abt 1853), Yeatman (b/abt 1859), Sulvana (21 Oct 1859), Elihu (Mar 1862), Permelia (b/abt 1867), Fanna (b/abt 1871) and James Beverly (16 Dec 1879).
Sam married Rutha Jones in Campbell Co TN (b/8 June 1893) and had children Sarah (March 1895) and John Curtis (b/16 June 1898).

About 1902, a Sam Abner (age 30 years) applied for a license in Anderson Co. TN to marry Amanda Abner (age 20 years); no return.
Is Amanda Abner a daughter of Elijah Abner, Sam’s brother? Did they marry? Were there offspring? Elijah’s daughter Amanda was born 16 August 1882.
Sam Abner and Ollie Viola Isaacs (b/17 August 1890, KY), married about 1908. Sam died 22 February 1948; Ollie on 13 February 1974. Both are buried in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Knoxville TN, side by side. Sam’s son, John Curtis Abner is buried about 50 feet away beside his spouse, Mollie Ann Barbara Jean Sammons.
