I am of the Afro-American race which, since I have started researching my roots, I found doesn't really matter because racial lines were constantly being cross. However due to slavery and the fact that slaves were counted as cattle, I have been having a difficult time finding any information. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My father was John Henry Abner b. 8/28/49 d. 1/20/95 son of Willie Henry Abner and Alberta Smith Abner Bradford; Willie's parents are Martha Bryant (possible Toliver-Abner) and I don't know what his father's name is. Any information would be greatly appreciated. :) I have more information and would gladly share what I know in exchange for the same. Thanks again.
