Thanks for responding to my posting. You're right - I've gotten a lot more info since 2004, although the most important thing I'm still looking for is information about Sarah (Fordham) Ablett's death, about which I haven't been able to find out anything. So I'd be very interested in any info you have on that.

On some of your other info, I've obtained additional info that either supplements or calls into question some of the conclusions:

1) There seem to be two couples named William and Mary Ablett who lived in Cambridgeshire around the same time. There appears to be one in Oakington and another in Gamlingay. I don't believe the ones in Oakington were the parents of the William Ablett who was born in Gamlingay. I now have the parents of William Ablett (born c.1802, Gamlingay) as William Ablett (born c.1769; died 1819, Gamlingay) and Mary Seamer/Seymour (born c.1770; died 1827, Gamlingay), who were married in Potton, Bedfordshire on Nov. 1, 1795. I haven't been able to prove this yet, so of course I could be wrong, but it seems a better fit than the Oakington Abletts. I suspect they may have had other children besides William and Sarah, but perhaps they were baptised in another village.
2) I don't believe that Sarah (Fordham) Ablett was married before she married William Ablett, because she is listed as a spinster in the marriage record, and for her earlier children's births, there is no father listed in the baptism record. I believe she had at least three children out of wedlock before she married William Ablett. They were: David (c.1836-1839), Lucy (c.1840-?), and Ann (c.1843-?).
3) William & Sarah Ablett also had a fourth child: Ann (born c.1851/2), who was one of the three children who emigrated to the U.S. Esther married James Meeks c.1867 in St. Neots and was still in England in the 1901 census.
4) Just to clarify, the dates you have for William & Sarah's children are baptism dates, not birth dates. William was born Oct. 20, 1849, but I haven't yet researched actual birth dates for the others.
5) William Ablett died June 6, 1865 in Bourn. As I mentioned, I haven't yet been able to find Sarah (Fordham) Ablett's death record.

I'd also be interested in any info you have on the children of William Ablett and Mary Warboys. I think I've located the marriages of all the ones who survived to adulthood, but I'm missing death info for most of them. Thanks.
