my name is joseph a. ablett. i was born in central illinois during the late 1950's. here is a few basic facts about my immediate family and some of our ancestors. my greatgrandfather moved to kentucky from parts unknown in the very early 1800's. he was rumored to be from brighton england, but we have no proof of this.
father, al smith ablett - born in 1930
mother, wanda mae ablett - born in 1935
sister, carol lynn ablett - born in 1954
me, joseph allan ablett - born in 1957
sister, ruth eileen ablett - born in 1960
grandfather, george ablett - born in the late 1860's
grandmother, zada mae ablett - born in 1888
daughter, elzabeth ablett - born in 1919
son john franklin ablett - born 1925
son al smith ablett
my greatgrandfather's name escapes me at this time, i have only heard him referred to as "granpa pink" ablett. i will add a post when i find out what his real name was. since it seems that ablett is a very unusual name, it is nice to know that there are probably many relatives out there.
