Hi
Thanks for the reply. I had noticed that also and I was able to verify that it was Thomas M Ables or Abel. His sons Silas and Mark went to Choctaw co OK also and I was able to find them in the 1820 census. The question is did Lucinda Ray Ables or Abel died shortly after 1900 in Fayette co Al or did she die in Choctaw co OK when the family went there or did she did on the way to OK or did they leave Fayette co Al after the 1900 census and go somewhere else and she died there and then the family went to OK. If I knew when they went to Choctaw co OK it would be much easier to figure out. Thomas M Abel was living with the Rone family as a servant in the 1910 Choctaw co OK census. I did some research and the Rone family was from Arkansas. I don't know if he knew them or if he just worked from them. I know that back then sometimes they just buried people on their property but it seems like some kind of documentation would have been required when someone died back then. I know death certificates were not required until about 1917. Thanks, Ross
