Hi Rose,
Thanks for your response. None of the names you mentioned sound familiar to me, but I am just getting started with this.
My grandparents are James Thermun Ables and Willie Ann Ables. My dad is James Edward (Eddie) Ables. My grandmother had 10 siblings and I have most of their information (spouses and children), but I am still working on my grandpa's side of the family.
I don't live in Alabama anymore. I moved to Michigan in '99. I am down there visiting at least once a year though... I was just down there last week! I may go again around Christmas, but I'm not sure yet. But I would love to share information as I go along.
Please let me know if your husband recognizes the names I mentioned.
