I am looking for anyone with any links to the ables family of Orangeburg S.C. I don't really know a lot about this line of my family because this is a very old name. I know that my great, great,granmother was named melia ables and she married clarence zeigler. From what I hear that they both died within 4 months of each other somewhere between 1912-20. They had for children
Emma Julia Zeigler Frazier(grandmother)
Dosha Zeigler (granduncle)
Willie Zeigler (granduncle)
Anna Zeigler(grandaunt-never married died very young)
Also Melia had a brother who I have found died in P.A. His name was Stylish Ables. Oh one more thing, Melia and Stylish were half or full blooded Blackfoot indians. Any connection? I would love to hear from you.
