I am a great great grandson of Sarah Elizabeth Ables m. Loyd c. Smith in Ms. My records come from grandsons Elton David and Jim Smith, Jim is still alive at this writing in Bryan, Tx. Sarah Elizabeth Ables parents are Thomas (Tom) Ables, wife's (alas) is unknown to me. Thomas was from Dublin, Ireland and died in 1930 (in Texas we beleive, Houston, Harris Co. TX), at the age of 106. Born circa 1824, died 1930. His wife was "the Indian girl" who, according to Uncle Jim, never spoke "very good English". She died at age 48 after having three children, Sarah Elizabeth, sons, Mark and Silas Ables. Silas was a WWI veteran. Loyd and Sarah Ann Ables are buried in the Smith Cemetry, near Splunge, Monroe Co. Ms.

Help this helps,

Butch Smith
