I am also descended from James Munro Abel who came out of Abbeville County, SC in early 1800's. Recommend that you provide specific information when asking for assistance - A birth date, if known - estimated if not. When a date is estimated a genealogical researcher will write "ca" which means somewhere around this time. For example: John Smith b. ca 1850 d. 1900 Abbeville Co,SC.
Also state and county where ancestor was born/lived/married/died is helpful when asking for assistance. Good luck!
