Virginia, thank you for the message. Nicholas was also my ggg-grandfather, married to Elisabeth Kreiser. I think we are talking about the same Nicholas then. Do you have any information about Nicholas and Elisabeth before they settled in Wisconsin in 1847? What did they do in Germany before immigrating? What caused them to leave Germany? Do you have pictures of this couple? Their children? I have a book prepared by Fr. Cyprian Abler dated late 1950's containing the names of all the descendants of Nicholas and Elisabeth.
