Carla,

There must be a typo in your post. If Peter Abler was born in 1853, he could not have come to America in the 1840's. Should his birth be in the 1830's?. I have some information that is strangely similar. Peter ABLER, b,March 1, 1837 in Mannebach, Germany, married Margarethe ROLLMAN (ROMEIN??) on October 13, 1863 in Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin (This from the Holy Cross church records)She was born May 14, 1844 in Kelberg, Germany. I have their children as Catherine, Mathias, Joseph, John, Elizabeth, Anthony, Carl, and Nicholas. The names sound very similar to yours. They disappear after the marriage, so it could be that they moved to Hoven. If you think this is the same family, I have earlier information from Germany on both the mother and father, Peter and Margarethe. Hope to hear from you.

Virginia Peter
