I was amazed at how many Abeyta's there is out there! I am very proud to have the Abeyta name but I do not have any History! My Grandfather was Jacinto Abeyta and my grandmother was Helen Perea Abeyta, he was from Edith Colorado. He ran a saw mill East of Pagosa Springs. I have been to Edith Colorado and seen the old school house that my father (Phillip J Abeyta Sr) attended. There is also an old cemetery on a hill. My father had three brothers, Larry Abeyta, Al(Conrad)Abeyta and Nimrod Abeyta. Two sisters Lillian Abeyta and Ruthann Abeyta. My Father has since passed on since 2000. If there is anyone out there that can help me find some history I would greatly appreciate it, Thank You.
