Dear Maryanne,

Wonderful at my age to find a long lost relative. I mentioned in my rather long posting that I have a good photo of Anna (or Annie) Clarke (as we call her - rather than Clark). It indicates that she married John Clarke on 21.10.1889. Anna is a "handsome woman" with hair piled high in the fashion of the day. Though the old photo is sepia she appears to have lightish or reddish hair, rather than dark. My father had similar, light brown hair, as does my sister.

I mentioned my first cousin Ruth Weiss. Ruth lives in Chatswood and her mother Marjorie Weiss (nee Abernethy) was dad's only sister. Ruth has an abiding interest in the Abernethy family and if you want I will introduce her to you. Quite recently widowed, I am sure she will be interested and able to help you further. I know she knows something about the Clarkes and the Fultons, who married Abernethy women of the generation.

Regards,

John
