I may have another piece of the genealogy line before too much longer.

Recently, while Chatting with friends, I heard that there may be a direct family conection we share.

If this is so, I feel that Benjamin Abernathy may be some close kin to "Miles Abernethy" Both were born, and grew up around the Burke, Lincolnton, Catawba, Happy Home (Rutherford), Hickory, and Buncombe County areas of North Carolina.

Does any of this fit in with research anyone else is doing from the Abernethy/Abernathy family in North Carolina?

I hope so...

PS: I look to get a bit more information mailed to me from relatives in Asheville...hopefully it'll arrive soon. Then my search may take on other 'traits' that I can follow in my search.
