I am looking information on BEN ABERNETHY, he died in Nov 1966, in Ashville, NC. According information I have he was born 25 Mar 1886 (town uncertain).

His son's name was IVEY LEE Abernathy (Abernethy), who died 4 May 1989, also in Asheville, NC -- he was born 13 Feb 1907 (town uncertain, probably in NC). Lee had two sisters -- maybe more siblings, stories told to me said (Ivey) Lee helped Ben build a brick church (Abernethy Methodist) while still very young.

Ivey Lee was my paternal grandfather.

Any information Ben/Benjamin Abernethy would be helpful, I've also heard had a talent -- playing music at "barn dances". I was only two years old when he died, and only have old photos, and several stories to know him by.
