Thank you for pulling all of this Abernathy information together! I do think that finding the book, Ancestral Tracks to Clermont--and beyond... is my best next step, so that I'll know what research has been done. With a quick search on the web, including WorldCat.org, I found that it is in the Allen County Public Library, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, also the Southern State Community College, in Wilmington, OH, and at least five other locations.
Susan (Abernathy) Lee’s birthplace was Virginia, according to her 1850 census, and the 1880 census records of Samuel and Isaiah, the only two of her children living in 1880. Regarding her year of birth, she was listed as 60 in the 1850 census.
