Connie,

Was Isaac's brother James the Attorney General of SC from 1728-1742?

My mother in law is an Abercrombie and she had a cousin who hired a certified genealogist to tracy the their Abercrombie family. The trace included James who was the Attorney General of NC. His ancestors were:

father - Sir James Abercrombie

grandfather - Sir Alexander Abercromby

The report carries the Abercrombie's back to the early 1500, and then the maternal side back to 1200s.

My wife is planing a family reunion for the decendents of Isaac Abercrombie, b10-23-1811 SC, d 9-23-1855, St Clair, Co. Al.

I would love to know if there is a connection and will be glad to share information.
