2) William Abercrombie, b. 5 July 1864
All I have is that he is buried in the Rabun Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Now back Colvill's wife Mary lindley, I show that she was born Aug. 1764 at Spring, Orange Co., NC. and died 10 June 1852 in laurens Co., SC. Also, that she is likely buried in an unmarked grave in the Rabun Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was definately not a daughter of Thomas Lindley. He, Thomas Lindley, was a sibling/brother to Mary (Lindley) Abercrombie.
Thomas Lindley was born abt. 1754 in Orange Co., SC. and died abt. 1809 in Laurens Co., SC. and is buried in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery at or near Princeton, SC.
Thomas Lindley was 1st married abt. 1774 to Elizabeth Harrison who died abt. 1782 after giving birth to four (4) children, Elizabeth; James; Hannah and Sarah.
Thomas Lindley was 2nd married abt. 1783 to Elizabeth Hall, a daughter of Aquilla Hall. He was a Tory and hanged 15 July 1776 at the Courthouse in Laurens Co., SC.
Thomas Lindley and 2nd wife Elizabeth Hall had eight (8) and possibly nine (9) children, Mary - she married John Abercrombie; William; Nancy; Aquilla; Thomas; unknown; John; James Henry; and Jonathan.

The parents of Thomas Lindley (c.1754 - c.1809) and his sibling/sister, Mary (Lindley) Abercrombie (Oct. 1764 - 10 June 1852) were in fact, James Lindley and wife Mary Cox.
I've a complete listing of the eleven (11) children born to James Lindley and wife Mary Cox.
Historical records show that James Lindley was a Captain in the Tory Army, captured and subsequently hanged on 15 July 1776 at the courthouse at Laurens, SC.
To his credit and those who hanged with him, they believed in their cause and died for their belief. It should be remembered that the Crown granted lands to many inhabitants of the Carolinas and they were loyal to the Crown.

Colvill Abercrombie did not die 26 Aug. 1838. He was born 4 oct. 1762 and died 1847 in laurens Co., SC.
He made his Last Will and Testament 21 Sept. 1837 in Laurens Co., SC.
I've a transcription of his Last Will and Testament as well as the following:

South Carolina))
Laurens District))

Personally appearing before me is, Asa Garrett, and made oath that he saw Colville Abercrombie execute the written document of his last Will and that he together with Isham Bolt and Wm. F. Douns (Downs) in the presence of each other and in the presence of the testator subscribed or witnessed to the same.
Sworn to before me the first day of November 1847.

W.D. _____/

O.? L.? C.?
(Officer Laurens Court)

Signed by: Asa Garrett

Also have a transcription of the Last Will and Testament of Mary (Lindley) Abercrombie.
It was proven July 2, 1852 in Laurens Co., SC.
Ref: Probate Box 115, Pkg. 16.
The court petition shows that she died 10 June 1852.

Hope this is not too confusing and helps with keeping the records more accurate.

Sincerely, Charles E. Sims
