Hi James, Sorry we never could find the date for the death of David Stratton. He may have died before Emily as she died on Mar 17, 1905, as you know in Clarkson, TX Milam County--I think. The death dates were recorded after 1904. George W. Stratton, born April , 1869 (1870) on most records. He married Minnie Civil Yaws, born Feb 1876 in Cuervo, DeWitt County, TX. Their children were: 1. Addie Welch Stratton, born July 11, 1894, Gause, TX. She married Amos W. Yates, They had 3 living children. 2. Lillie May Stratton, born Feb 24, 1896, in Gause, TX.She married Bryan Gholson of Quay, NM and they had several children 3. George Robinson Stratton, born May 1898, He married Faye McVicker of Okla. They had several children 4. Neely Civil Stratton, born Mar 17, 1900, She married Ernest Best and they had severl children. 5. Jewell Dee Stratton (male) born Apr 10, 1902, married Winnie Davis Quay that worked for the County of Quay, NM in Tucumcari, NM. Jewell was accidently killed May 14, 1937 when he fell from a high distance while working on the Conchas Dam. They had 2 sons. 6. Lucille E. Stratton was the youngest living child, born Jan 31, 1904, and she married Alex Ruffin when she was very young. They had 2 sons and ran and owned grocery stores in Cedar Rapids, IA and Grand Rapids, MI. They had several other children that did not survive, Roe and Rosy Stratton twins, buried in OK. and Mable Stratton, as well as Floyd Stratton. Some think that David Crockett Stratton fought for the South during the Civil War. Hope this helps. Colleen Notify Administrator about this message?
