J. J. ABERCROMBIE.
J. J. ABERCROMBIE, JR., 16 year old son of COL. J. J. ABERCROMBIE of the United States Pension Office, and wife, of Chicago, and a student in the preparatory course at NOTRE DAME, died last night at 10:50 o'clock of supperated
(suppurative) peritonitis. The deceased had been ill since last Friday night. An operation was performed as soon as the consent of the parents was obtained, which was Sunday night. Every effort was made to save the young man's life but the disease was too far advanced.
Young ABERCROMBIE has been a student at the university for the past five years and was very popular. Short services were held at NOTRE DAME this morning and the remains are now lying in state in the college chapel. The young man's
father, mother and sister and aunt have arrived at the university and will accompany the remains to Chicago at which place the funeral will be held tomorrow. Interment is in the Calvary cemetery.

married WILLIAM D. COFFEY. He was born Abt. 1880 in Massachusetts.
Child of MARIAN ABERCROMBIE and WILLIAM COFFEY is:
i. MARIAN A.8 COFFEY, b. Abt. 1914.
