I'm aware of the controversy of the information about James Abercrombie. There being 2 of them in the 1790 Laurens, SC census is difficult.I'm new to this but on the Rootsweb worldconnect project Ernest and Hattie (Gray) Epperson Family Tree there is information that is partially true. They are showing a James 1765-1840 having 9 children.A son named Young David is shown having 12 children.Children 1-11 are born in Georgia, child 11 being Gallant Floyd Abercrombie and child 12 being Thomas Calvin Abercrombie being born 1854 in Benton county, Arkansas. That particular information is correct, there are federal land records in Benton county showing Young Abercrombie with land in 1854, along will all of his sons there also.Son Gallant Floyd had sons born in Arkansas and daughters born in Texas. The information about Young David Abercrombie and down is matching up.This is my line of decent.
