I've heard that Cynthia, the w/o James b.1787 (s/o the James who left the 1819 will) was perhaps a d/o Jesse Allen. Actually, what I've heard is that in his will Jesse Allen names a dau (a dau Cynthia?) who married an Abercrombie.
There are others who say Cynthia was a Madden, or had a first marriage to a Madden. Lots of maybes but few facts.
Anyway, James b.1787 (s/o James who left the 1819 will) had a son named David Allen Abercrombie b.abt.1825. Am not sure what significance to place on that middle name as there were also sons named Bailey b.abt.1827 & Hastings Dial b.abt.1826.
Also, this Cynthia was likely the second wife & not the mother of eldest son James b.abt.1805.
