Hi Chris,
I don't have any direct info for you but would like to suggest that you check "dit" names for the French names you gave.Just do a Google search of your names and put "dit" with the search and hopefully something will come up for you.
The Indians used the 'dit' of many of their French names or whatever the white people thought thier names sounded like in French was how they got spelled in English. I have been tracking a man whose surname was DROUIN in French but he changed it to Delaware when he came to live with my 4th grt. grandparents in Brunswick, Maine in 1850.Why we don't know, but he was born in Canada and was French too (most likely Indian as well since my family was Passamaquoddy).
Check the -ne do ba- site for info on Wolinak too.
Good Luck in your searching.
