Benjamin ABELL b. 1687, d. 1769, married Lydia HAZEN, dau of Thomas HAZEN and Mary HOWLETT, 17 March 1714.

"The Abell Family in America" pub. 1940 by Horace and Lewis Abell, shows that Benjamin (1687) was the son of Benjamin ABELL (b. 1651) and Hannah BALDWIN.

"One Branch of the Booth Family" pub. 1910 by Charles Edwin Booth, shows that Benjamin who m. Lydia HAZEN was the son of Caleb ABELL (b. 1646) and Margaret POST.

Benjamin ABELL (1651) and Caleb ABELL (1646) were sons of Robert ABELL (c1605-1663) and JOHANNA (-?-).

Can anyone help me clear up this discrepancy? Thanks.
