I have a great deal of information on Enoch "Big Enoch" Abell and his second wife, Mary Ellen Wade b. 1852. Much of what I have comes from the book "Our Ancestors" by Henry Newton Wiseman and Sallie Wiseman Goldman, Princeton, Indiana: Cook's Printing, [1973]. Enoch's first wife was Nancy Wiseman.

This interesting historical note on Enoch comes from the Wiseman book:

Moved from Crawford to Dubois Co., near
Jasper, IN, 1 Jan 1820, on a sled,
accompanied by two of Nancy's brothers,
who helped build a log cabin for the
newlyweds.
