"The Abell Family in America" by H.A. Abell and L.P. Abell, published by The Tuttle Publishing Company, Inc., it states:
page 121 - 122
"169. Dea. Simeon Abell, born January 25, 1767; died September 16, 1849 at Bozrah, Conn.; married Lucy Huntington Leffingwell March 12, 1796, born September 4, 1768 in Norwich, Conn., died there March 30, 1853, daughter of Elisha and Alice (Tracy) Leffingwell of Norwich. Simeon was Deacon of Bozrah Cong. Church for many years and prominent in town affairs.
Children:

Lucy H. Leffingwell, b. Nov. 29, 1800; m. William C. Abell. (See no. 182)

"89. Simeon Abell, born June 22, 1736 in Norwich, died February 12, 1813; married February 13, 1766, Martha, born November 4, 1741, died February 17, 1813,daughter of Jabez Crocker. Resided on their farm near Fitchville, later sold to Asa Fitch. he enlisted in his Uncle Captain Joshua Abell's Company, 6th Company, 3rd regiment, 1755,and in Captain Perkins' Company 1757, serving in French and Indian Wars.

Rhoda, b. June 24, 1780; m. Gardner Avery May 25, 1813 at Bozrah; he d. there Dec. 4, 1852, son of Jonathan Avery. No issue. He m. 1st Rachel Baldwin Jan. 10, 1802 at Bozrah, she d. there Oct. 30, 1807.
Sybil, b. Oct. 24, 1784 in Bozrah, committed suicide by hanging June 2, 1814, bur. in Bozrah Cemetery; unm."
From there: Samuel Abell and Lydia Gifford Abell were Simeon's parents (b. 6-22-1736).
Dr. Samuel Abell and Elizabeth (daughter of Thomas Sluman and Sarah Bliss) were Samuel's (b. 10-9-1702) parents.
Sergt. Caleb Abell and Margaret Post Abell were Dr. Samuel Abell's parents.
Robert Abell and Joanna ? Abell were Caleb Abell's parents.
