Abells in Kentucky

Looking for verification. My ggg grandfather was Ignatius "Nace" Abell married to Mary Thomas. He was probably born in Marion County, Kentucky or near there. He had at least one son, John Henry Abell. I have found trees on the Family Tree Maker CDs of Abells from Maryland to Kentucky and one had Robert Abell, I believe the son of Samuel Abell, who had several children, on being a "Nace" Abell. I wonder if anyone can tell me if they are the same person.
