Roy N. SCHLEGEL
Roy N. SCHLEGEL, 95, of Allentown, died Sunday, Dec. 27th, 1998, in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Rosa O. (ABEL)
SCHLEGEL.
Roy was store manager and inventory auditor for American Store Co., Allentown, for 37 years before retiring in 1968. Before that he was a catcher at the former Frederick's Brother's Brick Yard, Allentown, for 10 years.
Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Henry and Lizzie (GRUBER) SCHLEGEL.
He was a member and former councilman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown. He also was a representative for Boy Scout Troop 20.
Survivors; Son, Earl R., daughter, Elizabeth M., wife of Martin D. LANDAU, and a brother, Erwin, all of Allentown, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services; 2 PM Wednesday, Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Call 1-2 PM, Wednesday. Contributions; To the church.
