My Abel family also was from Chicago.
August Johann Abel & his wife, Wilhelminia Abel. Their children were: Charles, August, William C., Minnie, Albert, Frederick, Anna (my grandmother), Arthur, Herman & Emma. I know my gr-grandfather had a brother John that lived in the Chicago area and died in Aurora, IL. I have quite a lot of information on my Abel family, but am always seeking more.
