Just found out I have Texas Abel relatives. Ruben H. Able was my great great grandfather. I am from the line of his son John F Abel. They were in Tallahatchie, MS. in 1860, his sons James M. and John Frank joined fought in the Civil War and were both captured in Columbia, KY. They took the oath and were release the same day for frontier service. I belive my John F. Abel possibly married in Texas and at some point came to Shelby County, Tennessee where he married and fathered several children.
If anyone has information on the following people please let me know.
