Hi
I have an Abel family who were also lamplighters, my earliest Abel is Thomas ABEL marrying Elizabeth Highland. I don't have his parents but he did have a brother James who was also a lamplighter. It appears Thomas was born Hackney way, but moved to Rotherhithe (deptford area) where his children were born. Thomas was born circa 1815. Can anyone help further ?
