Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Fredda Hubbard, 89, Gadsden, who died Monday, March 12, 2007. The Rev. John Hammonds will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Hubbard was a native of DeKalb County and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Hubbard; son, Neil Hubbard; and parents, James S. and Lillie Abel.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Larry) Murray, Mississippi; granddaughters, Laura (Paul) Cotcher, Georgia, Toni Ann Hubbard, Alabama, Lucinda (Jack) Freeman, Mississippi and Mary (Kenny) Foster, Mississippi; grandsons, David Rider, Alabama and James (Sarah) Goforth, Mississippi; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest (Jean) Abel; sister, Jamie Sue Venn; sister-in-law, Frances Abel; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Todd Cross and nurses of the seventh floor south of Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
A very special "THANK YOU" to her caregivers.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
