I don't have any info on either but my Able/Abels family was in Johnson Co. Tn. I always thought they came from VA because the first three children were born in VA but later census of the children say their father was born in GA and their mother in VA. Do you have anything on Able from GA to VA to TN. William was born around 1791 and children from about 1815 to about 1838. The first three children that I know about are James, Leander and Mary. There are at least five more including my gg-grandfather Joseph Alexander born in 1838. Would be interested in hearing from you.
